Charlier et Fils Carte noire brut

This bottle is aged in Fourdres de Chêne (large oak casks) for 8 months. It is made from 50% reserve wine, the reserve wine is stored in barrels for 2 or 3 years. The other 50% is from harvest 2016 and 50% from reserve wine 2012 and 2011. Disgorged 01/2019. Only the first pressing (Cuvée) is used. Natural malolactic fermentation in the barrels. After this, the bottles are approx. twice as long in the cellar compared to the legal requirement (18 months). They are kept in the cellars for almost 3 years. The bottle is handled manually when they do the "remuage", where the bottles are turned until they are upside down and yeast and sugar residues can be "shot" out. This is a great Non Vintage champagne which can be enjoyed at any time.
